Security forces in Egypt’s Port Said Governorate have arrested a woman named ‘H. T. D.’ who drugged her child with the intent of extracting his internal organs to sell to a human organ trafficking mafia.

Investigations revealed that the divorced mother, who has two children, Mohammed (8 years old) and his sister (10 years old), contacted a person through a social media site who buys organs, and asked her to photograph her child completely naked and send videos and photos of him.

This person persuaded the mother to give the child drugs to anesthetize him, which she did, but after the child took the dose, he developed a state of severe fatigue that required him to be taken to the hospital.

After examination, the medical team found that the child had received an overdose of the drug, which prompted them to report the incident to the security authorities.

The woman admitted in the interrogations that she had been communicating with people online who asked her to photograph her child naked and give him narcotic drugs in order to transfer and extract his entrails, and that she intended to sell her child’s organs to the person she communicated with online.

It is noteworthy that Egypt recently witnessed a shocking incident in the Shubra area of Qalyubia Governorate, where a small child was found cut in half and his internal organs were removed and placed in a bag next to the body, and investigations revealed that the goal of the crime was trafficking in human organs.
