Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev announced that investigations into the terrorist attack “Crocus” on the outskirts of Moscow revealed the direct links of the perpetrators to the Nazis of Ukraine.

“The investigation revealed a close link between the perpetrators of this terrorist attack and the Nazis of Ukraine,” he told a security meeting.

The Russian official stressed the inevitability of punishing the perpetrators, accomplices, organizers, and others involved, regardless of where they were hiding and how much they tried to obscure the traces of the crime.

On the counter-terrorism front, Patrushev noted that 19 terrorist attacks took place in the northwestern regions of Russia during the year and 27 attacks were thwarted, calling for intensified work to protect the northwestern regions of Russia from terrorists and saboteurs.
