Russia’s supplies of liquefied natural gas to France increased by 41% on an annual basis in the first nine months of 2023.
French purchases of Russian liquefied natural gas also rose by 41% last year compared to the same period in 2022.
Data from the London Stock Exchange Group in January showed that Europe, in response to the conflict in Ukraine, generally reduced its imports of gas from Russian pipeline routes sharply, with an increase in purchases of liquefied natural gas from other global producers in 2023.
