The Russian company “Rostec”, which specializes in military technology, announced the delivery to the Russian army of a new batch of armored vehicles and personnel carriers, equipped with advanced defense technologies to enhance its combat capabilities.
BMP-3 armored vehicles and BMD-4M personnel carriers have been upgraded to provide integrated protection against rockets and missiles from all directions.
The company’s industrial director, Bekkhan Ozdoev, explained that the BMP-3 armored vehicles were covered with special layers that reduce radar detection, improve their ability to hide in various combat environments, isolate heat and absorb radio signals.
The BMP-3 armored vehicles were armed with a 100mm cannon capable of firing anti-tank missiles and 30mm machine guns, as well as PKT machine guns.
These armored vehicles are flexible in maneuver and easily navigate rough terrain at speeds of up to 70 km/h, and can move and fire in water at speeds of 10 km/h.
The BMD-4M airborne personnel carriers have comprehensive upgrades to the structure, platforms, engines, and equipment.
These carriers are equipped with a 100 mm 2A70 cannon, a 30 mm machine gun and 7.62 mm machine guns, as well as systems equipped with anti-armor missiles.
Since the beginning of 2024, the Russian army has been equipped with several modern and advanced weapons, including the Costa-2E2 radar specialized in monitoring low-flying air targets, and the three-dimensional Podlet-E radar to monitor targets at low altitudes.
The Russian army is also equipped with a CREDO-M1 field radar to detect moving targets on land and sea, a B-18-2 to identify hostile sources of interference and track air targets with high accuracy, as well as a T-90M tank.
