A Russian official announced that Moscow is currently considering including Egypt in the list of countries whose citizens can obtain electronic visas, to visit the country.
The Russian official’s remarks came on the sidelines of the International Travel and Hospitality Exhibition (MITT), which is currently being held in the capital, Moscow.
The director of the Department of Economic Cooperation at the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, Nikita Kondratiev, told reporters that “Egypt is among the priority countries currently being considered, and it will probably be included in the list of countries whose citizens are available for an electronic visa, by the end of the year.”
Russia launched the e-Visa service for citizens of 55 countries, including China, India, Iran, Turkey, Vietnam, and the European Union, on August 1, 2023.
The application should be submitted no later than 4 days before the visit to Russia on the specialized website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The visa is suitable for tourist and business trips, as it is valid for 60 days from the date of registration, and the stay is limited to 16 days from the date of entry into the country.
