Libya’s Government of National Unity (GNU) has stated that regular and direct flights between Morocco’s and Libya’s airports will soon return, as previously planned, after the relative stability returns to Libya.
A delegation from Royal Air Maroc arrived in Libya on Wednesday to inspect Mitiga airport, the Libyan government said in a post on its Facebook page.
The visit to Mitiga Airport will last two days, to learn about the procedures followed in the operational process and to ensure that the safety and security measures in force at the airport comply with the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization, in order to determine the possibility of operating regular and direct flights between Libya and Morocco.
