The director of Sebha Airport, Taher Al-Busaifi, confirmed the resumption of Libyan Airlines flights from Mitiga and Benina airports to Sabha by one flight per week.
Al-Busaifi pointed to the efforts of communications with other airlines to resume flights to and from the airport, where the frequency of flights increased by 60% since the beginning of this year compared to 2023.
Regarding the expansion of international flights, El Bousifi stressed the airport’s readiness in terms of security and special equipment to receive international flights to Egypt and Tunisia soon.
He explained that they are working to enhance safety measures without hiding their need for infrastructure development and regular maintenance.
