In February, the United States of America recorded a rise in the import of Russian fertilizers totaling $ 158.5 million.
Official data shows that this figure is close to the peak recorded in June last year when the value reached $158.7 million.
In February, the United States continued to import fertilizers from Russia, worth $84 million in nitrogen fertilizers and $74 million worth of potash fertilizers.
Imports included $550,000 worth of mixed mineral fertilizers and other types of Russian phosphorus fertilizers.
Russian fertilizer exports to the United States amounted to about $1.4 billion by the end of last year, with Russia ranking second, with 15 percent of total U.S. fertilizer imports, while Canada comes in the lead with 48 percent and exports reach $4.4 billion.
