Real Madrid manager, Geronimo Farri, commented on the statements of the president of FC Barcelona, Juan Laporta, about the possibility of requesting a replay of the Clásico.
The Real Madrid manager pointed out that refereeing decisions must be respected, and that it is difficult to determine whether the goal is correct or not.
Laporta had protested after the match that Barcelona lost 3-2 to traditional rivals Real Madrid, on a controversial shot in the twenty-eighth minute of the meeting, where the goal of the player Lamine Jamal was canceled after resorting to video technology.
Laporta said the Catalan club would request all videos and audio recordings related to the incident from the Spanish Football Federation, and that if the goal was confirmed, the club would seek “to move forward with all necessary steps, including the possibility of requesting a rematch”.
Commenting on these remarks, Fari told the Spanish newspaper “Marca”: “I am against the vice of demand, the virtue of not giving, was it a goal? I don’t know, no one knows, not even those who had 80 cameras in VAR technology.”
Farry added: “Logically, to score a goal you have to be sure it’s a goal.”
