The State of Qatar announced the resumption of the humanitarian airlift with Sudan, which will continue throughout the month of Ramadan with the aim of mitigating the repercussions of the humanitarian crisis experienced by the Sudanese people.

The Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lolwa bint Rashid Al-Khater, said on the “X” platform that the State of Qatar began this airlift last year to deliver humanitarian support and evacuate Sudanese residents to the State of Qatar.

Al-Khater pointed out that the airlift will include tents for shelter and ambulances, where a campaign of food baskets was launched between the Qatar Fund for Development and Qatar Charity, which will number fifty thousand baskets.

The emergency room in Khartoum state announced that 240,000 families in the state are at risk of famine due to the war between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces since April 15, in light of the suspension of 90% of the symbiotic kitchens that used to provide humanitarian aid.
