A number of world leaders have congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on his victory in the Russian presidential election, based on the preliminary results of the election.
Preliminary results of the vote count in Russia’s nationwide presidential election showed independent candidate Vladimir Putin leading with 87.68 percent.
The Russian Ministry of Digital Development announced that the final voter turnout through remote electronic voting platforms reached 94%.
The committee noted that the participation rate in the Russian presidential elections abroad exceeded 70%.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the completion of voting in the presidential elections in the Russian armed forces, with a participation rate of 99.8%.
Among the leaders who sent cables of congratulations to the Russian President were President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Bolivia leader Luis Arce, Myanmar Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, President of the Gagauzia Moldovan Region Yevgenia Gutsul, President of Honduras Zeumara Castro and President Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua.
