Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on his re-election as president, a Kremlin statement said.
The statement added that Putin, in congratulating Sisi, affirmed his readiness to continue developing bilateral relations between the two countries and interaction in international affairs, including within the BRICS group.
The Russian president pointed to the Egyptian president’s contribution to strengthening the Russian-Egyptian strategic partnership, according to the Kremlin statement.
