Moroccan and Tunisian cities witnessed demonstrations in support of Gaza and demanding an end to the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip and an end to the military offensive.
The Moroccan Authority for the Support of the Nation’s Causes reported that 100 pro-Palestine demonstrations were organized in 52 Moroccan cities, explaining that “more than 100 demonstrations were organized on Friday, in 52 cities in support of Gaza.”
According to a statement by the “Commission”, the demonstrators called on the government to stop normalization with Israel permanently.
In Tunisia, more than a thousand people, including many women and children, demonstrated on Saturday evening on Land Day in the center of the capital to demand a ceasefire in Gaza.
Land Day commemorates the death of six Arabs in 1976 who were demonstrating against Israel’s confiscation of its land.
The demonstration came in response to a call from the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) and other organizations such as the Tunisian Network to Counter the Normalization System between Tunisia and Israel.
