Advisor to the UAE President, Anwar Gargash, confirmed that the accusations leveled against the UAE by some affiliated with official Sudanese bodies aim to “evade responsibility” towards the current situation in Sudan.
Gargash said in remarks published on his X account on Tuesday: “Throwing accusations arbitrarily against the UAE by some affiliated with official Sudanese bodies is a hollow method to reproduce crises and evade responsibility.”

He explained that the UAE’s relationship with the Sudanese people is historic in all circumstances, stressing that attempts to inflict charges will not discourage the UAE from working with partners to find an urgent political solution that preserves Sudan and its stability.
Gargash’s comments come in response to previous accusations levelled against the UAE by officials and members of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council.
Relations between the two countries have been tense due to the ongoing dispute between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces since mid-April.
Last December, 15 employees of the UAE embassy in Khartoum were asked to leave Sudan, in the context of the escalation of events in both countries.
Fighting in Sudan has killed 13,900 people and displaced more than 8 million, according to the UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs.
