A member of the Libyan House of Representatives, Ms. Al-Yaqoubi, considered that the current crisis in Libya is the most serious and worst since 2011 as a result of the intervention of internal and external factors.

She pointed out in a tweet published through her official account on the site “Facebook” that the proposed solutions to the crisis are temporary, indicating that the proposed settlements contribute to postponing the problem, and do not develop a real framework for its solution.

She explained that these settlements are often the result of changing regional and international understandings, which makes the future of Libya dependent on changes in regional powers and portends new explosions that return the country to the circle of repeated dialogue.

Al-Yaqoubi added that postponing solutions and continuing to sell state interests only serves parties that seek temporary gains, without considering the general national interest.

She stressed that the continuation of the crisis in this way will keep Libya stuck in a spiral of crises, waiting for changes that may occur on the regional or international arena.

Libya is suffering from political crises that have become complicated by the resignation of UN envoy Abdullah Pathili and the appointment of American Stephanie Khoury as a new envoy.
