The French capital Paris is witnessing this evening a football summit in the second leg of the semi-finals of the Champions League, where Paris Saint-Germain hosts Borussia Dortmund at the “Parc des Princes” stadium.

The German club enters the confrontation with a slight advantage, where a draw is enough to qualify for the final, after deciding the first leg by winning with a clean goal scored by Niklas Volkrug.

Paris Saint-Germain need to win by a two-goal margin to secure their place in the final directly, while a one-goal win will extend the game to extra time and possibly penalties to seal the qualifier.

This match marks the fourth meeting between the two clubs this season in the Champions League, with Paris Saint-Germain winning the first meeting at home 2-0, and the two teams drawing 1-1 in the second leg of the group stage, before Dortmund excelled in the first leg of the semi-finals.

Paris Saint-Germain will go into the game without three of their most prominent defensive players, Presnel Kimpembe and Layvin Kurzoa, as well as Lucas Hernandez, with star Kylian Mbappe expected to lead the attack in an attempt to turn the tables on the visitors.

The eighth night clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund in general, where the two teams met in 7 previous confrontations in European championships.

It is noteworthy that Paris Saint-Germain achieved two victories during these confrontations, compared to two victories in favor of the German team, while three matches between them ended in a draw
