The Russian Ministry of Emergencies announced the completion of the evacuation of Russian citizens and their families from the Gaza Strip and the completion of the latest procedures in Egypt to deliver them to Russia.

Russian Emergencies Minister Alexander Korenkov said: “The last group of citizens in Cairo is waiting to leave for Russia, which includes 73 people, including 45 children. In total, 1,124 people, including more than 470 children, were evacuated to Russia, where they received full assistance and support. In the latter group, the implementation’s of all evacuation regulations submitted and received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is completed and terminated. In this regard, it was decided, according to a Russian presidential decision, to withdraw the operational group of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies from Egyptian territory.”

Korenkov pointed out that the rescue teams of the Ministry of Emergencies have been working and carrying out their tasks in Egypt since November 3.

Korenkov confirmed that the Russian Ministry of Emergencies sent 15 planes carrying humanitarian aid provided to the residents of the Gaza Strip, including 350 tons of various aid.
