The qualified Arab teams are Egypt, the record-holder with seven continental titles, Morocco, boasting the best African and Arab achievement in the World Cup with a fourth-place finish in Qatar 2022, and Mauritania, reaching the second round of the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in its history.
In the round of 16, Egypt will face the Democratic Republic of the Congo next Sunday, while Mauritania will play against Cape Verde on Monday, and Morocco will compete with South Africa on Tuesday.
