Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council of the Houthi Ansar Allah group, rebuked the British BBC anchor after describing what they are doing in the Red Sea as “fanfare without flour.”
The presenter told her guest that what is happening in the Red Sea did not affect Israel in order to stop the war on the Gaza Strip, describing their attacks as “fanfare without flour,” and repeated this phrase repeatedly.
Ali al-Houthi responded by saying, “If it doesn’t affect them, why did they form an international coalition? On what basis do you base your information? There is a complete paralysis of Israeli ports in occupied Palestine, you are the one who bothers with your questions without flour.”
In response to another question about the Houthis’ relationship with Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip, and they are miles away from what is happening, the Houthi official quipped, “You mean Biden and Netanyahu live in the same apartment? And the French president lives on the same floor? And the British Prime Minister lives in the same building? Or are there thousands of miles between them and Israel?”
When the presenter responded by saying that the BBC is a neutral station in its handling of what is happening, Al-Houthi mocked her by saying: “You are neutral? If you side with the Palestinian cause, you lose your job immediately.”
The interview sparked a lot of interaction among social media users.
