The Sirte Oil Company for Oil and Gas Production and Manufacturing has announced new oil discoveries, according to a statement issued by the Libyan National Oil Corporation.
This discovery comes after drilling the exploration well in the Contract Area (M.N.6), southeast of the Libyan Allahib field. The exploration operations reached a depth of 8,666 feet (2,641 meters), where successful productivity testing was conducted.
The test results showed a daily production of 16.8 million cubic feet of gas and 626 barrels of crude oil with a quality density of 49 API.
With continued exploration efforts, it is expected that the oil and gas sector will contribute to the recovery of the Libyan economy and achieve sustainable stability.
