National Congress Party issued a statement about the US administration’s decision regarding Ahmed Haroun, as it considered it an attempt to divert attention from the popular resistance, in which Sudanese people lined up and supported Sudanese armed forces, which continued to achieve remarkable progress and a landslide victory in all battlefields and fronts.
This comes after US State Department’s announcement that it would offer a reward of up to $5 million to anyone who contributes to the arrest of Ahmed Haroun, a collaborator with former Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, who is accused of committing war crimes in Darfur.
The party announced that it stands with Ahmed Haroun and defends him in his positions on campaigns of external and internal targeting and conspiracy, for which he paid the price by being imprisoned for four years in lawsuits that are not legally established.
