Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu inspected drone products at a training ground in the Moscow Military District, announcing a plan to create a research and production center for drones and robotic systems.

Shoigu stressed that this center would serve as the unified link for various institutions, laboratories and design offices involved in the development and production of advanced weapons.

Shoigu stressed the need to equip Russian attack intrusion groups with small firearms that would allow them to effectively destroy enemy FPV drones.

During his inspection visit, the Minister of Defense stressed the need to benefit from the experience of the special military operation during the implementation of instructions on the development of drones and individual firearms.

“All the drones that were presented to Minister Shoigu are produced from local materials and parts, as well as the combat payloads they transport, which allows us to move to the commercial production of these unmanned aerial vehicles in the shortest possible time,” the Ministry of Defense said.

The Minister was presented with a promising assault quadcopter, adapted for remote deployment of mines in low-visibility conditions. The company that produced it noted its readiness to produce 30 pieces of these helicopters per month.

Shoigu was shown a set of drones ranging from 10 to 200 kilograms. These drones have a high anti-interference ability for control channels and data transmission.

On Friday, Russia’s defense minister inspected a company in Siberia’s Omsk province that produces tanks and heavy flamethrower systems.
