New data published by Eurostat showed a decrease in the volume of Moroccan exports to Europe during the first quarter of 2024.
The value of exports amounted to about 1.925 billion euros, compared to more than two billion euros during the same period of the previous year.
According to statistical data, the value of EU exports rose to nearly three billion euros in the first quarter of this year, compared to 2.644 billion euros in the same period last year.
The EU achieved a trade surplus with Morocco of nearly one billion euros during the same period, with exports continuing to outperform imports for the third consecutive year.
The concentration of Moroccan exports to Europe is mainly live food and animal industries and products.
Exports in sectors such as live food and animal products increased, while exports of machinery and transport equipment declined.
