The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, welcomed the decision of the International Court of Justice on immediate interim measures to be taken by Israel to provide protection to citizens in the Gaza Strip and ensure an adequate and unhindered flow of humanitarian assistance.

The Moroccan Foreign Ministry said in a press statement that the decision of the International Court of Justice is in line with what King Mohammed VI of Morocco has repeatedly stressed on the need to take practical and urgent measures to provide protection for citizens and put an end to the unprecedented aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry reiterated Morocco’s position in support of the Palestinian cause and its attachment to the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, within the framework of the internationally agreed two-state solution, in order to serve the aspirations of the peoples of the region for a secure future of peace and stability.
