Morocco ranked 20th in the world in a new classification of the most powerful countries in terms of the power of artillery weapons, according to the website (insidermonkey), which specializes in military affairs.
The classification was based on multiple criteria, including number, strength, and technology, as the number of artillery units for each country was evaluated, along with their technological capabilities and the extent of the development of these weapons.
Morocco was able to score 0.393 points in this classification, with its possession of 1,079 artillery units, including 565 self-propelled artillery and 306 towed artillery, in addition to more than 200 rocket launchers.
Morocco is the only Maghreb country on the list, and the second strongest army in North Africa in terms of artillery strength, and the third strongest Arab army, after the Egyptian army, which ranked fourteenth in the world with more than 4,160 artillery units and a rating of 0.422, and Saudi Arabia, which ranked 14th in the world. Sixth with a rating of 0.445.
South Korea ranked first thanks to its possession of more than 8,630 artillery units, China came in second place, while the United States ranked third, followed by Russia and India in fourth and fifth places, respectively.
