The Moroccan national team was victorious in its confrontation against the Congolese national team, defeating it 6-0 in a match held yesterday, Tuesday.
The Atlas Lions continued to dominate the match from the beginning, as the team scored a hat-trick in the first twenty minutes of the first half.
Player Ezz El-Din Onahi opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a direct shot, followed by Shadi Riyad with the second goal in the sixteenth minute, and Ayoub El Kaabi added the third goal in the twentieth minute.
Al-Kaabi was not satisfied with that but scored a hat-trick by scoring two additional goals in the second half, while Sufyan Rahimi scored the sixth goal.
In the same group, Tanzania was able to win over Zambia with an unanswered goal, which makes the competition in the group more exciting.
In another match, the Sudanese team regained its lead in the group after defeating Mauritania 3-0, which was its third victory in the qualifiers.
With these results, the Moroccan national team continues to excel in the qualifiers, topping the group standings with 9 points, while Tanzania follows it on goal difference.
It is noteworthy that the new system for the World Cup has increased the enthusiasm of the competition, as the group champions qualify directly, while the runners-up go into a play-off to determine the final four teams that will participate in the international play-off.
The football show will stop until March 2025, when an important match is scheduled to be played between Sudan and Senegal during that period, which is expected to be decisive in the race to qualify for the global finals.
