Morocco and Indonesia signed in Rabat a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a strategic partnership between the two countries, following talks between Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi.

The memorandum aims to establish a strategic partnership between the two countries, enabling them to diversify and expand cooperation in various sectors, including security, parliamentary, regional, cooperation within international organizations, as well as economic partnership, developmental cooperation, migration, consular cooperation, cultural, scientific, technical, and social cooperation.

The Moroccan Foreign Minister stressed that this strategy should not be just a slogan, but a reality, noting that the creation of a strategic partnership is an ambition, and we must translate it into reality by implementing what has been signed.

For her part, the Indonesian Foreign Minister pointed to the need for concerted efforts to ensure this new strategic partnership, stressing the importance of working more to embody it on the ground for comprehensive cooperation that benefits the two peoples.
