The Moroccan national football team fell one rank in the classification issued on Thursday by the International Federation of the game (FIFA), where it became thirteenth instead of the twelfth it occupied in the last classification issued last February.
The “Atlas Lions” lost two points from their tally, as they now have 1661 points instead of 1663, after their victory with a clean goal against Angola (94th in the world) and a negative draw with Mauritania (105th in the world) in the last two matches during the international break last March.
The Moroccan national football team maintained its lead in the classification of African and Arab teams, while the Senegalese team maintained second place continentally (17th in the world), while the Nigerian team ranked third (30th globally), the Egyptian team fourth (37th globally), and the Ivorian team came fifth for the African continent and (38th globally).
In the Arab world, Morocco tops the ranking in front of Qatar (33rd globally), Egypt (37th globally), Tunisia (41st globally), Algeria (43rd globally), then Saudi Arabia in fifth place in the Arab world and 53rd globally.
Argentina, the world champions in the last edition, top the table with 1,858 points, followed by France, Belgium, and England, while Brazil finished fifth.
