The Turkish Ministry of Trade revealed the success of the Turkish contracting sector in implementing projects worth an estimated $ 30.8 billion in the North African country.
The ministry pointed out that Libya topped the list of countries that benefited from Turkish infrastructure projects, as it ranked fourth among the beneficiary countries.
It was followed by Saudi Arabia with projects valued at about $27.8 billion, followed by Algeria with $21 billion, and Qatar with projects worth more than $20.2 billion.
Within the framework of continuous cooperation, the Turkish company “Terminal Yapı” signed a memorandum of understanding with the Libyan authorities on April 5, aimed at rehabilitating and operating Tripoli International Airport.
Another memorandum of understanding was signed between the Libyan Airports Authority, the Turkish company and the British “ARM International” group, aimed at developing and improving the infrastructure and operation of the international airport in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
