Libyans ranked 51st in terms of the nationalities most requesting a European Union “Schengen” visa, out of 133 countries around the world.
The “Visa Info website”, which specializes in “Schengen” statistics, reported that Libyans submitted 24,428 visa applications to the consulates of Schengen countries during the past year.
The list of countries to which Libyan passport holders do not need prior visas to enter includes Algeria, Malaysia, Dominica, and 34 other countries from Africa and Asia.
This list does not include any European country, so Libyan travelers wishing to visit the European continent need to obtain visas to enter any of the Schengen Area countries, including Italy, France, and Germany.
If a Libyan citizen applies for a Schengen visa and succeeds in obtaining it, he will be able to spend up to 90 days in the entire Schengen area.
