Libya’s Benghazi branch for combating illegal migration announced that it had arrested about 1,500 illegal immigrants in January.
After conducting medical tests inside the branch, it was found that 52 migrants were infected with infectious diseases, while the conditions of 1,455 migrants were corrected by issuing them information security inventory cards, the agency said.
The deportation unit of the branch deported 898 illegal immigrants of ten different nationalities through air and land ports, including 142 injured and 129 with security restrictions.
