Mohamed Salah will join the Egyptian national team on June 3, in preparation for two matches against Burkina Faso and Guinea-Bissau, in the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhi, confirmed that Mohamed Salah will join the ranks of the Egyptian national team in the next June camp, and the participation comes after the Egyptian Football Association received a letter from the International Federation specifying the dates of the upcoming confrontations.
The Pharaohs are scheduled to face Burkina Faso in Cairo on June 6, in the third round of qualifiers, followed by an away match against Guinea-Bissau on June 10.
Egypt have so far topped Group A with full points, after beating Djibouti with six clean sheets and beating Sierra Leone with two goals for nothing.
The Pharaohs, led by Hossam Hassan, will also travel to Equatorial Guinea on June 7 via private jet for their fourth match of the qualifiers.
Differences appeared earlier between Mohamed Salah and the technical staff of the Egyptian national team led by Hossam Hassan, and the crisis began due to the decision to call Salah to participate in a friendly international tournament, at a time when Salah was suffering from an injury that affected his participation with Liverpool.
