The British newspaper “The Athletic” revealed in a report published today, Tuesday, that Mohamed Salah intends to remain within the ranks of the Liverpool team.
The newspaper indicated that Salah, 32 years old, does not plan to leave the club during the current summer transfer period, despite rumors linking him to a move to the Saudi League.
The report indicated that Salah is preparing for the new season in high spirits, expressing his optimism in winning all titles in the coming season.
The contracts of three of Liverpool’s pillars, in addition to Salah, expire after next season: Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, as well as Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who all show a similar commitment to the club.
Salah was subjected to some criticism due to a decline in his goal scoring rates compared to last season, and some critics sometimes attacked his individual style, considering that he tends to be selfish at times. He also faced some criticism due to his performance with the Egyptian national team, especially after their exit from the 2024 African Cup of Nations.
