Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan sparked controversy after a video clip appeared showing him slapping a fan during a public gathering.
The incident occurred during a meeting with fans, when Ramadan asked the young man to take out his mobile phone before slapping him in the face.
The incident, which was widely circulated on social media platforms, was met with mixed reactions among the public, especially since it came at a time when Ramadan was working to finish filming his new film “Black Lion” under the direction of director Mohamed Diab and with the participation of artist Khaled Al-Sawy, which adds public pressure on… Ramadan.
This incident comes shortly after a similar incident witnessed by the artist Amr Diab, who faced criticism after slapping a fan who persistently tried to take a selfie with him. The fan responded by filing a lawsuit against Diab, asking to “restore his dignity,” as he put it.
Mohamed Ramadan, born on May 23, 1988, in Giza Governorate, began his artistic career at an early age, but his real fame began after his distinguished performance in the movie “Speak, Scheherazade” in 2009.
