The head of the Russian Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, said that Russia has a ready response in the event that its assets frozen in Western countries are confiscated in favor of the Kiev regime.
“We also have a ready response, we have a bill, and we are ready to consider it immediately in response to the confiscation of our assets, and the Europeans will lose more than us, and of course they fear it, especially against the backdrop of their collapsing economy,” Matvienko said.
In this context, Matvienko recalled Russian President Vladimir Putin’s words to the Europeans: “Today we are, tomorrow you are.”
“The Americans have simply failed Europe, economically and politically, and Europe has become completely subservient to Europe, it was already subservient in the field of security and defense and now it is being crushed by the Americans,” Matvienko added.
Matvienko stressed that the United States now “wants to suffocate Europe even more, in order to reduce its competitiveness, which does not matter much to Americans.”
On Saturday, the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved a bill to allocate nearly $61 billion to Ukraine, as well as a bill that includes a provision to confiscate Russian sovereign assets for Ukraine.
