According to press reports, Italian midfielder Marco Verratti has offered himself to Spanish club Barcelona to join him during the next summer transfer window.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, Verratti (31 years old) expressed his readiness to return to compete in the European leagues by joining the “Blaugrana” next summer, after this step was a real option in previous years, but Paris Saint-Germain prevented his transfer to the Catalan team.
Verratti, the former Paris Saint-Germain star, moved to Al Arabi last summer on a two-season contract that expires in June 2025, for 45 million euros, but offered himself to Barcelona officials.
The Spanish newspaper explained that the player will face an obstacle in the implementation of his desire, which is that the Qatari club will demand a large amount in exchange for dispensing with his services, which will stand as an obstacle to the completion of the deal with the Catalan club.
