English press reports revealed that the English club Liverpool decided to keep the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the team’s player, after farewell to the Europa League for the current season 2023-2024 at the hands of Atalanta.

Liverpool bid farewell to the Europa League despite winning 1-0 against Atalanta in the match that was held between them on Thursday evening at the “Jesus” Stadium, in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the current season 2023-24.

The newspaper “Liverpool Echo” that the management of Liverpool decided to keep Mohamed Salah player in the team, and not to consider the offers made to him, specifically from the Saudi league clubs.

The newspaper pointed out that the Reds decided to take this decision after he became threatened with losing all titles this season, which makes him required to maintain his players and basic strength next season, to compete again for all titles locally and continentally.

The 31-year-old Egypt international has been linked with a move to the Saudi Professional League, and last September Liverpool rejected a £150m offer from the federation, which included Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante.

Mohamed Salah, who led Liverpool to third place in the Premier League this season with 17 goals in 26 games, is on his contract at Anfield until June 2025 after signing the most lucrative deal in the club’s history in 2022.
