The National Oil Corporation of Libya reported in a statement yesterday, Saturday, that the country’s production of crude oil reached 1,257,729 barrels per day.
The Corporation also announced recording a daily production of condensate amounting to 49,890 barrels, and of natural gas equivalent to 220,620 barrels.
In a related development, the corporation indicated that the North Hamada oil field, which is managed by the Nafusa Oil Operations Company, witnessed the start of operation of a new 250-kilometre pipeline.
The field’s production is expected to reach eight thousand barrels per day before the middle of this month.
It is noteworthy that the designated Libyan Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Abdel-Sadiq, stated that his country aims to increase its oil production to 1.4 million barrels per day by the end of 2024, according to an ambitious plan announced by the Libyan National Oil Corporation, which will continue for 3 years.
