The head of Libya’s Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, held a telephone conversation with Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak to enhance cooperation, according to a Libyan government statement.
The statement said the talks focused on opening new horizons for partnerships in the field of energy and stimulating Libyan investments in Yemen.
During the call, they discussed cooperation between the two countries and the activation of joint agreements, in addition to exchanging visions on local and regional developments.
The statement stressed Libya’s support for legitimacy in Yemen, and the need to achieve security and stability for the Yemeni people.
This call follows a meeting last November between Yemen’s Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries, Salem Al-Socotri, and the Libyan Ambassador to Yemen, Idris Abu Bakr, to discuss areas of bilateral cooperation and enhance communication and joint coordination on issues of interest to the agricultural and maritime sectors.
