Interim Prime Minister of Libya Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh denied taking any decision regarding lifting subsidies and setting alternative prices for fuel.
Dbeibeh pointed out that some Libyans do not want to change the current reality, given that the prices are reasonable for them, stressing that this commodity has become “coveted by the countries of the world.”
Dbeibeh added that there are security agencies involved in smuggling fuel out of Libya, expressing the necessity of changing reality from its foundations, and the importance of searching for alternatives to fuel subsidies in the country.
