A member of the House of Representatives, Abdel Moneim Al-Orfi, said that the hateful centralization has cast a shadow over both Cyrenaica and Fezzan, and the solution lies in federalism and autonomy for the three regions or the system of states.

He added in press statements that the voices calling for autonomy have every right to do so, and that they have no means left to stabilize their areas.

“We support the people of Fezzan in their demands, which we see as legitimate, and achieving autonomy allows each state to build itself and provide job opportunities for its residents, with justice in the distribution of wealth,” he said.
