The Libyan Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Malta, Charles Saliba, to discuss enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries.

Libya’s Ministry of Oil and Gas reported that Saliba expressed the desire of Maltese companies to return to Libya and participate in oil and construction projects.

The Maltese ambassador said that several new companies express their desire to work in Libya, provided that the security and stability conditions improve, calling for support for these companies and solving the problems they face.

According to the ministry, the two sides discussed the issue of the maritime border area between the two countries, which a Libyan team is being formed to discuss under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to consider the possibility of joint oil exploration in it.
