Libyan parliamentarian Abdel Salam Nassiyeh criticized the governor of Libya’s central bank Sadiq al-Kabir for his controversial remarks that have destabilized the market.

In press statements, Nassia pointed out that the leak of the decisions of the Central Bank of Libya to the Libyan street is reprehensible, adding that Al-Kabir caused confusion among citizens and created a state of instability through his statements about a counterfeit currency.

He stressed that although there is counterfeiting of currency in many countries of the world, these issues are dealt with in legal ways and wisely, noting that it was the first for the great to speak accurately and scientifically to avoid stirring controversy and anxiety in society.

The Central Bank of Libya’s publication of a video in which he talks about a counterfeit currency has increased confusion and anxiety among people, he said, calling for the need for Kabir to go out to talk to the people and clarify matters related to this important issue.
