Moussa Faraj, a member of the Libyan High Council of State, stressed that the lack of a constitution that constitutes a reference for Libyans is one of the most important causes of chaos and tampering in Libya.
Faraj said in a press statement: “Libyans are confused, and everyone is talking about elections, and most of them want elections with guaranteed results in their favor.”
“The area of mistrust between the Libyan parties is wide, as well as external interventions, which aim to secure the interests of these countries and do not care about the interest of Libyans,” Faraj said.
The Libyan political crisis is still stalled, with the various parties adhering to their positions towards the legal basis through which the general elections are held, while the UN envoy Abdullah Batili reiterates his call for a five-member table to resolve contentious issues.
