The Minister of Culture and Arts in the Libyan government, Saliha Al-Toumi Al-Drouqi, held a discussion session with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Libyan Embassy in Belarus, Mohamed Esteita, to explore ways to deepen cultural cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting took place yesterday, Monday, in Benghazi, where the two parties discussed prospects for expanding cultural, literary and artistic exchange, and discussed possibilities for cooperation in the fields of arts, language, heritage and antiquities.
The two sides discussed developing joint projects related to studies and research, with the aim of building bridges of communication and deepening cultural relations between the two countries.
It is noteworthy that relations between Libya and Belarus (Belarus) have witnessed various developments over the years, after a period of coolness in relations, and bilateral ties were revived after the fall of the Gaddafi regime in 2011. In recent years, Belarus has been interested in developing economic and trade relations with Libya, as the two countries signed agreements related to cooperation in areas such as taxes and media broadcasting.
