Al-Aman Bank in Libya announced that it will continue to accept cash deposits in denominations of 50 dinars for the first and second issues in all its branches.
This decision comes in response to a letter issued by the Bank of Libya on April 21, 2024, which calls for facilitating deposits and withdrawals for citizens.
In the same context, the statements of the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Sadiq Al-Kabir, regarding a counterfeit 50-dinar currency, caused confusion among citizens, created instability, and destabilized the market.
The Central Bank of Libya published a video in which it said that there are four copies of the 50-dinar denomination currently circulating in the market, including two forged copies, prompting calls for Kabir to go out to talk to the people and clarify matters related to this important issue.
