Libyan club Al-Ahly Benghazi sealed its first deal during the current winter transfer window by signing Moroccan player, Chergui Bahri, striker of Moroccan Wydad Athletic Football Club.

An informed source said that Al-Bahri received several offers from Moroccan league clubs, in addition to receiving many foreign offers, specifically from the UAE and Libya.

But the Moroccan striker preferred to join Al Ahly Benghazi, who were very serious about acquiring his services in order to increase his offensive effectiveness in the domestic league.

Al Ahly, who are fourth in the Libyan Premier League Group A table, are looking to strengthen their ranks with a veteran striker who will lead them to qualify for the six-crowned and compete for the league title for the fifth time in its history, and its first in 32 years.
