Violent clashes with heavy weapons broke out between the “Rahba Al-Doruaa’” and “Sabriya Al-Rathimi” brigades in the Tajoura area, east of the Libyan capital, Tripoli, resulting in the death of a Libyan woman.

Local Libyan media reported that the deposed Mufti, Al-Sadiq Al-Gharyani, is accused of igniting the fire of strife between armed militias.

The area of clashes witnessed a heavy deployment of armed elements after renewed disputes between the “Rahba Al-Doruaa’ Brigade,” also known as the “Al-Baqara” Brigade, named after its commander, Bashir Al-Baqara, and the “Sabriya Al-Rathimi” Brigade, which sparked panic and anxiety among the city’s residents.

At the same time, the Al-Ajailat area witnessed similar security tension between members of the First Support Force led by Muhammad Bahroun, known as “Al-Far,” and members of the “103rd” Battalion led by Othman Al-Lahab.

The Ambulance and Emergency Service called for an immediate ceasefire, holding all conflicting parties responsible for the safety of lives. The agency confirmed that it had received distress calls from the Maraghneh area in Tajoura, demanding the provision of safe passages for the stranded families.
