Following Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar’s urgent directives, Acting Prime Minister of Libya Osama Hammad instructs to immediately address the groundwater overflow crisis in the city of Zliten, which threatens the lives of citizens.

In response to the difficult humanitarian conditions in the region, the Libyan government issued a series of important decisions, that were published on its official Facebook page.

Among these decisions, a state of extreme emergency was declared in the municipality of Zliten, in addition to taking immediate measures to protect citizens from the danger of floods resulting from the rise in groundwater levels.

These urgent measures include providing all necessary needs to the municipality of Zliten to respond to emergency situations and ensure the safety of citizens.
