The data from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) announced that Libya has regained its position as the largest producer of crude oil in Africa during the month of March 2024.
Libya narrowly overtook Nigeria, and its crude oil production rose to 1.24 million bpd in March, compared to 1.17 million bpd in February, an increase of 5.7 percent.
Nigeria’s production fell from 1.32 million bpd in February to 1.23 million bpd in March, dropping to second place.
